Allfather

What's in a name

Odin the Allfather kept two ravens. Huginn was thought, Muninn was memory. He sent them out over the world each morning and they returned each evening with everything they had seen. Of the two he feared losing Muninn the more, because a mind without memory has nothing left to think with.

He kept choosers as well. After a battle the valkyries went over the field and decided which of the fallen were carried on, and which were left where they lay.

The apps are named for the work they actually do. Huginn flies out ahead of you, carrying the look you chose to the camera before the shutter ever moves. Valkyrie goes over the take and decides what is carried on. Muninn keeps what survived, and puts it in front of the people you made it for.

One hand keeps all three. That is why the family is called Allfather.

The photography suite

Three apps. One path.

Fujifilm spent decades turning color science into a craft, and the whole of it sits on a dial: Velvia's bite, the restraint of Classic Chrome, Acros and its grain. Decide the look before you raise the camera, and shoot it into the frame instead of grading it in afterward. Then bring the take home, keep only the frames that survive, and put those in front of the people you made them for.
